Project Life Freebie: 2014 Calendar Cards

Today I am sharing my very first Project Life freebie with you!! Yesterday, I told you all about my plans for Project Life 2014 on the blog. Last night on Instagram, I shared this sneak peek:

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have already seen this image of my new 2014 calendar cards. Back when I first heard about Project Life, the graphic designer in me thought it would be really cool to do my own album using entirely my own designs on the cards. And then I realized that this was a stupid idea because there are SO MANY great options out there, and I don’t want to limit myself (plus I think it would take forever for me to make enough. I want to get started on Project Life right NOW!!!). So, I gave in and bought a bunch of kits. BUT! That doesn’t mean that now and again, I can’t have some fun & design my own cards :) I searched for some (free) 2014 calendar cards but couldn’t find any that were just how I wanted them, so I made my own!

These are plain white cards, but they can be printed out on any colour card stock (or regular printer paper). To print mine, I printed the PDF file and used the ‘Print multiple pages to a sheet’ option, with 6 pages per 1 8.5″ by 11″ page. This kept them at the original size (3″x4″) and saved paper when printing them out. I used a blue card stock that I got at Michaels last year. I love how they came out! (Though I will need to reprint mine because I noticed a date error in November after printing. It’s fixed in the ones to download, I just haven’t reprinted mine yet!)

Anyone is free to download these for personal use, and they are not to be sold or redistributed. Feel free to link back so others can use them as well, or share the link on your blog! I think these would look really cool printed on some scrapbook paper or on top of other journalling cards… I may have to try some of these things out ;)

I have also designed a variant of these that fit the horizontal 4×3 slots. If anyone is interested in those, please leave a comment and I can put those up as well!

When I printed mine out, the “6 pages per sheet” option made them SUPER tiny. Some of the letters are also cut off on the right side of the months. The upper & lowercase Js and Ys, the lowercase Os. Not sure if it’s my printer or what.

They are super cute though & I used the calendar part in a layout. Thanks!

Hm, that’s odd… 6 pages per sheet worked perfectly for mine, but it does probably depend on your printer… If anyone else notices this problem as well, please let me know & I will try to get a PDF together that is print-ready.

But I’m glad to hear you were still able to use the calendar part!

Thank you so much for these – just starting Project Life now and back tracking to October 2013 when my daughter was born. Do you happen to have 2013 calendar cards that match 2014? Thanks in advance :)
